Job Description- Support project dimensional inspection and analysis.
- Innovate in a manufacturing development environment.
- Lead in performing experimental design approaches to validate findings.
- Apply scientific and mathematical principles to collect data and provide analysis.
- Measure components and system integration of subassemblies
- Participate in designing experiments, preparing hypotheses to be tested, and developing models.
- Participate in selecting relevant sources of information through suggestions of subject matter experts.
- Studies and reviews assigned projects and investigates questionable items concerning components, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate across functions on matters involving inspection and calibration of components, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence concerning component inspection and calibration of components, tools, equipment, and miscellaneous assignments.
- 7 years experience as a Metrologist, Tooling Metrologist, or similar working for manufacturing or engineering companies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5 or equivalent.
- Experience with non-contact measuring devices including structured light, laser scanning tools and similar.
- Experience with contact measuring devices including CMM, caliper, micrometer, pi tape and similar.
- Experience with 3D dimensional analysis and quality control software solutions such as Innovmetric Polyworks, Hexagon / Wilcox PC-DMIS metrology software, Oqton ControlX, GOM Inspect, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated experience with challenging and dynamic advanced metrology projects.
- Exhibits and maintains positive, solutions-oriented attitude toward work and co-workers.
- Team-oriented attitude and focus with strong ability to collaborate with others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the design software Siemens NX.
- Experience or familiar with reverse engineering software.
