Job Description
Ensure that all instruments and inspection tools tools in use in the plant meet the requirements for calibration in time and dimensions established in the approved instructions.
Duties:
- Generate and distribute the Calibration Due List, periodically.
- Receive and verify tools and register in Chromalloy Recall System.
- Perform the calibration of the tools in accordance with approved instructions from the blueprint/technique sheet.
- Complete the required Calibration Certificate or Measurement Report for accepted items and notify owner.
- Notify QA Leader or QA Engineer when a QC Inspection tools is found out of tolerance or damaged.
- Generate and get approval for the Outside Process Request (OPR) for all tools and instruments going to an outside vendor for Calibration.
- Evaluate certificates of externally calibrated items to ensure compliance with applicable standards and internal requirements.
Qualifications
The requirements below that are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the job.
Experience:
- Ability to intrerpret tool drawings.
- Trigonometry basics.
- Ability to properly use standard equipment such as height gauges, precisión blocks, sine plates, vernier and micrometer, etc.
- Basic knowledge in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.
- Basic knowledge in Standards aplicable to Dimensional, mechanical, temperature, time, weight and force.
- Basic technical english, (desirable).
- High school (Preparatoria).
