Job Description
- Understand business and demand for managing long-term supplying material plan to ensure no gap of supply.
- Manage and ensure that purchasing data readiness for ordering and maintaining in system such as price, supplying lead-term, minimum order, and key supplier etc.
- Manage and ensure that core material has backup source or alternative to supply when the critical situation occur or surging of demand
- Lead to resolve the problem, also escalate issue to top management if needed.
- Manage supplier relationship, supplier performance, cost saving and supplier improvement in parallel
- Sense of emergency needed, high responsibility, understanding and able to manage risks to minimize impact of business.
- Able to provide root cause analysis, short-term, and long-term solutions when a critical issue occurs.
- Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
- Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with Purchaser and Supplier to solve any order discrepancies or deviations.
- Minimize obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
- Utilize ERP or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date
- Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Involve and responsible for all tasks of material management team that will be support company to achieve objective and target.
Qualifications
- Bachelors required in business field.
- Highly desired or 5-7 experience as Planning, Purchasing or related field.
- Knowledge of ERP in material requirement planning module.
- Organized and attention to detail required.
- Sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and focus to recognize critical path activities and achieve business goals and objectives.
- Highly self-motivated and capable of working with limited direction at times.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated strong analytical. Problem solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be assertive, highly organized. Detail oriented, with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Capable of quickly demonstrating influencing skills and abilities.
- Able to work in dynamic, highly stressful and demanding situations.
