Position Summary:
Chrysalis is a company that provides a variety of support services primarily for people with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and/or autism spectrum disorder.  This position is responsible for the security of the IT infrastructure within the organization.  The Network/Security Administrator troubleshoots network access and implements security policies and procedures within the organization. This position is also responsible for supporting Help Desk functions within the organization, as needed or as assigned.  The Network/Security Administrator works independently within the established procedures to ensure network security access and protect against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction. Additional responsibilities include performing risk assessments, audits, staff training sessions, and monitoring network activity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Stay up to date on the latest network and security vulnerabilities, assess potential impact to company’s IT environment and immediately implement solutions.
Ensure company’s HIPAA policies and procedures are followed and continually assessed and updated as needed.  This includes ensuring that PHI related risks are assessed and addressed.
Perform hardware and software maintenance on company network infrastructure and security platforms.
Investigate and address any suspicious activity in the company's IT and security environments including but not limited to suspicious emails, malware, phishing attempts, viruses, etc.
Ensure company access policies and procedure are adhered to.  This includes but is not limited to network share permissions, device encryption, password policies, VPN access, etc.
Maintain and support Company’s voice over IP system.
Educate users on company’s security policies and procedures.
Create training tutorials for end users about how to use company equipment and systems as it relates to security protocols.
Write clear and concise security policies and procedures.
Participate in coaching and mentoring colleagues by providing guidance to others and problem resolution on highly technical or moderately complex problems and issues.
Be willing to increase aptitude and continually learn new IT-related skills.
Be available on-call in accordance with the IT on-call schedule.
Be punctual and consistent in regular attendance at the worksite.  Employee must adhere to their workplace schedule in order to ensure proper support for company users.   While some flexibility with the workplace schedule exists, time off must be scheduled ahead of time for coverage reasons. 
Demonstrate good public relations, customer service skills, and ensure a positive experience for end users.
Support Help Desk duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director.
                          
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT Security or related degree, OR minimum of 3 years' experience managing IT security environments.
Working experience with Microsoft 365 Administration.
Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
Detailed, thorough, organized, with aptitude for continual technology learning
Self-motivated with an ability to work in and foster a team environment, including the ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels and serve as a role model for teamwork
Excellent writing, typing and overall communication

Preferred:
Strong working experience with Microsoft 365 security administration, including DLP, and Conditional Access.
Splunk SIEM working experience.
Sophos firewall working experience.
A good understanding of HIPAA policies, procedures and practices
Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, type, talk and hear; use hands and fingers to feel and handle objects; reach with arms, bend over, stoop, and/or crouch. Occasionally the employee is required to walk or stand and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may spend up to 100 percent of their time in an office environment.  It is an indoor, environmentally controlled room.  Occasionally, the employee also may be exposed to other environments including other office buildings, data centers, and day programs.  In those settings, the employee may occasionally be exposed to individuals who engage in aggressive behavior and may come into contact with blood, salvia, and/or OPIM.
