Job Overview
In coordination with the Program Manager (PM), and the Deputy Project Manager (DPM), the Quality Safety Production Manager (QSP) will assist in providing leadership to contract managers, managing company risk, customer expectations, and ensuring all day-to-day operational requirements are being met for the Wolf Creek Federal Services, Ft. Greely Missile Defense Contract. The QSP will provide oversight and support for logistics transactions, procurement activities, production control, quality control, safety programs, environmental compliance, airfield regulations, and completion of subcontract work activities. The QSP shall act in the absence of the PM or DPM and shall be responsible to the PM for the overall performance of the project. The QSP will implement processes/tracking metrics to ensure responsiveness to customer requirements, timely completion of project milestones, maximize workload, plan efficiencies, and manage business improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Provides direct supervision to site managers and team leaders, including but not limited to technical/professional direction and guidance, job tasking, training, establishing priorities and maintaining accountability of all assigned personnel.
- Directly Manage the Production Control and Quality/Safety teams.
- Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS - Maximo) for Production Control, Procurement, Airfield, Logistics, Quality Control, and Safety subgroups.
- Responsible for performance of all subcontract entities, to include Environmental Compliance Consultants (ECC).
- Anticipates deviations from plans or schedules keeping government customers and stakeholders informed through classified meetings.
- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of all contractual obligations as outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
- Analyze, identify, and manage potential and actual risks. Implement corrective action of day-to-day issues and anticipate impact on scope, schedule, quality and cost of more serious issues and risks.
- Monitor, review and adjust internal processes to improve effectiveness of daily work activities.
- Identify and report to the Project Manager the management of issues, risks, or the need to alter requirements, add extra resources and efficiencies.
- Define acceptance criteria to meet project deliverables, keeping all pertinent parties properly updated with status reports and/or briefings.
- Generates documents as needed, including specifications, metrics, schedules, reports, and progress charts to manage and track work activities and assignments.
- Create a structure for project documentation and ensure project team understands and consistently uses the methodology
- Responds to site emergencies, as required including providing support and resolution assistance.
- Prepares and presents Monthly Technical Progress Reports and Quarterly Performance Reviews.
- Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates personnel; works with employees to correct deficiencies.
- Reviews and approves departmental time sheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Eight (8) years of recent related experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree; three (3) of which are in a supervisory role.
- Possess highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communications (written and oral) skills and demonstrating the ability to manage a diverse workforce in a dynamic environment with short-notice tasks under high pressure.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Computerized Maintenance Management System, specifically Maximo.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, and other applicable environmental guidelines.
- Knowledge of Government contracting terminologies and applications.
- Ability to obtain Interim/Final Secret Level Security Clearance within 6 months of hire.
- Valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
