Risk employees reduce accident, illness, and injury occurring on Church property or during Church-sponsored activities to protect people and to minimize the loss of sacred funds (donated confidentially in obedience to God's commandments) used for the Church's religious mission under the direction of senior ecclesiastical leaders.
Most senior department level safety specialist responsible for developing and supporting safety, health, and environmental programs. Works in smaller department with limited locations and typical risks, hazards, and loss exposure. Incumbents typically supervise one or two junior level safety professionals. Responsible for assessing risk, developing responses, and assisting line management in the implementation of processes and programs. Incumbents work closely with Risk Management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory organizations and provides a single point of contact for coordination of all safety, health, environmental, and disaster recovery activities. Provides safety, health, and environmental support to operations in the U.S. and Canada.
