Well-established plaintiff personal injury law firm in Olympia, WA looking for an Associate Attorney to join our team of committed professionals advocating for injured people. We are a client -focused firm that handles all phases of personal injury claims from intake to litigation. General duties include the following:

Meet with clients, assist with insurance claims and medical issues during the treatment portion of cases, review medical records and insurance coverage documents and identify issues to address, draft or review demand packages, and negotiate settlements.

Communicate respectfully and effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, health care providers, witnesses, and opposing counsel.

When required, conduct all aspects of litigation, to include discovery, legal research and brief writing, drafting and arguing motions, conducting arbitrations, taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions, and conducting jury trials in district and superior courts.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to progress cases along by problem solving and resolving issues throughout all aspects of a case, from intake to settlement, and litigation, if necessary.

Must be able to track and organize workflow, meet deadlines, and independently manage a caseload.

Strong writing skills required – please provide a writing sample such as a motion pleading or other correspondence showing legal analysis.

Knowledge of medical conditions and terminology, tort law, or insurance law is helpful.

One year of civil or criminal litigation experience is desired.

Required personal traits include professionalism, highly ethical, reliable, punctual.

Ideally, we would prefer someone who lives within the Thurston County community or within 20 miles of Olympia. Many of our clients are in Thurston County although we also serve Pierce, King, Lewis, Mason, and Grays Harbor counties.

This is an in-person, full time salaried position. Salary is dependent on experience, with a general range of $76,000 to $130,000. The higher end salary would be for someone with 5 years of successful experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.

Washington State Bar license required.
