General Description

A data architect is a professional responsible for designing, creating, managing, and optimizing an organization's data architecture. This role involves understanding the organization's data needs, business objectives, and technological capabilities to develop robust data strategies that support decision-making, analytics, and business operations.

Responsibilities

- Design and validate a data migration strategy from MS SQL Server to Snowflake.

- Create blueprints and guidelines reflecting the migration strategies.

- Define data modeling strategies (common model creation/enhancement).

- Define security aspects like data access, role mapping, and classification-based masking/obfuscation.

- Ensure flawless communication between our customers and onshore teams with nearshore development squads.

- Support the data analysis teams in understanding the current context and requirements.

Requirements:

- Solid experience in similar initiatives

- Experience with Snowflake and SQL Server

- Data Modeling

- Data integration and ETL/pipelines

- Data security (permissions and obfuscation)

- Advanced English for business communication

Nice-to-haves:

- Snowflake certification

- Microsoft Azure

- Experience deploying DataOps practices

- Experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI
