SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating internships/practicum placements, primarily with the Care Manager and Options Counselor roles at CICOA as well as serving as the community liaison for future employment prospects and recruitment sources. This position also performs recruitment administrative processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Function as social work practicum field instructor for both BSW and MSW students.

Coordinate the original training schedule during onboarding.

Conduct mid and post surveys of all interns and generate fiscal year reporting of the internship program.

Recruit task instructors within CICOA and additional field instructors, as needed.

Function as a liaison with schools of social work to build relationships and recruit students including schools of gerontology, counseling, psychology, and nursing to actively recruit students for social work internship opportunities.

Attend job and internship fairs hosted by different colleges and universities and assist the Recruitment and Engagement Specialist with job fairs for future part/full-time employment candidates.

Recruit point-people in each client-facing department to assist in coordination of internships.

Complete phone screenings with potential interns.

Schedule interviews with supervisors and potential interns/practicum students.

Complete background checks for potential interns/practicum students and full-time employment prospects

Coordinate onboarding of interns, including necessary equipment (backpack, laptop, etc.).

Attend workshops and other educational opportunities for growing internship programs and/or social work practicums.

Assist with scaling workforce talent and internship program prospects for the organization.

Assess department needs on semester basis by meeting with department representatives.

Post and advertise internship opportunities on semester basis.

Manage all on-the-job shadowing for outside organization.

Maintain small case load of approximately five clients to stay current with practices and procedures.

Familiarize self with all local university programs that participate in CICOA’s internship program and network with universities’ career development departments to increase future full-time employment prospects.

Verify CEU eligibility and track participation in the internship program.

Participate in meetings with interns and university representatives as requested.

Provide weekly recruitment advertisement and networking efforts through community outreach.

Travel locally as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and one to two years related experience is required. Experience as an Internship Field Instructor with BSW and/or MSW preferred. Excellent communication and networking skills and ability to travel locally.
