We are looking for a talented Maintenance Assistant to join our team!
How you will help us on our mission and inspire others:
- Engage residents, families, and associates while connecting with them in a genuine, compassionate and memorable way.
- Efficiently respond to all maintenance requests submitted by residents and staff of the community.
- Maintain all exterior areas of the Community not covered by third party contracts to achieve exceptional Community appearance.
- Complete routine inspections of vacated units and quarterly unit inspections for safety compliance.
- Patch, repair and replace drywall and paint as necessary.
- Clean carpets, furniture, including spot removal and use of a carpet extractor.
- Fill out, maintain compliance, and produce forms requested by the state or any other inspectors.
- Drive residents using the company van/bus to scheduled appointments by picking them up at the appropriate time and returning them to the community.
- Carry and use cell phone to report delays or accidents.
- Ensure vehicle gas tank is filled at appropriate intervals.
- Take the vehicle for scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tires, washing, repairs, etc.
- Maintain appearance of vehicle, both internally and externally, by cleaning windows, sweeping and mopping floor, and cleaning seats, washing outside regularly to maintain a professional image and provide a welcoming and inviting riding experience for residents.
- Periodically inspect vehicle for tire pressure, wiper blades, refill windshield washer fluid, etc.

- Must demonstrate empathy and compassion to connect with customers.
- Knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the areas of electrical maintenance, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
- Must maintain and encourage a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with co-workers, managers and others with whom contact is made.
- Must have appropriate service orientation, demonstrate competency and professionalism.
- Ability to handle several tasks and respond effectively to unexpected changes, requests and stressful situations.
