Summary
This role will provide critical financial support to the Evernorth Behavioral business along with the broader Evernorth Care Solutions (ECS) business. This includes developing strong transparency into the cost of goods sold (COGS) for both existing and new products, incorporating COGS into the pricing methodology, and serving as a subject matter expert for expense methodology across Evernorth Care Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a strong expertise of the underlying COGS that drive the expenses associated with Evernorth Care Solutions products.
Analyze available data to make recommendations on how the expenses are best captured in the pricing of both new and existing products.
Leverage financial acumen to make appropriate assumptions regarding the development of COGS for brand new solutions.
Collaborate with teams across finance and other business partners to drive optimal outcomes from the developed expense insights.
Support the budget process owned by the controllers and collaborate closely with the Expense controllers aligned to each ECS business leader to ensure consistency between expense methodology & budget setting.
Recommend actions to pricing and other business processes as appropriate based on the data and analytics performed on the expense data.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science or a related field
4 years of experience in finance, actuarial or related roles, with a strong track record of success
High degree of analytical ability to translate data and other information into actionable recommendations
Ability to develop strong working relationships with different business partners
High degree of personal accountability, strong resourcefulness, and a goal-oriented mindset
Ability to work effectively across teams in a matrix environment
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
