What are the responsibilities and job description for the Encore - GPTPM Talent Development position at Cigna?
The GPTPM Encore role will support the talent development initiatives and outcomes, focusing on the development and ongoing support for the overall talent development plan of the entire GPTPM team and summer interns.
The Encore role will develop tools and processes to best deploy effective talent development across the organization. This role conducts talent development needs assessments; builds a business case for new development programs; and evaluates and modifies development programs as required. The role’s objective is to increase competencies and performance of staff at all levels of GPTPM.
The role will also provide support across GPTPM for various initiates in support of change management, process design, and GPTPM operations, as well as manage the GPTPM summer internship program.
Responsibilities
Identifies and assesses current and future training needs for the organization, while deploying a wide variety of training methods that build on overall as well as individualized talent development plans
Develops overall talent development plans that address needs and expectations
Resolves any specific issues and tailors programs as necessary
Maintains a keen understanding of talent development trends and best practices
Works in collaboration with subject matter experts, managers, and project teams to identify and analyze learning needs
Creates design documents that clearly communicate learning strategies to address needs, including content outlines, flow diagrams, technical specifications, and resource/reference documents
Supports the prioritization and governance processes for the talent development initiatives portfolio
Works on multiple projects concurrently, monitor activity, progress, and time related to project development
Partners with Cigna Learning & Development consultants to leverage available resources and to ensure consistent quality across the organization
Monitors and reports effectiveness of all training conducted and revise courses as needed
Manages all aspects of GPTPM summer internship program in partnership with the enterprise Early Career team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred
10 years of relevant related work experience required
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of design and develop training content
Proficient in the use of an enterprise-wide learning management system (LMS) and myUniversity
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong editing, proofreading and formatting skills
