Position Summary
The Information Protection Advisor - IT Regulatory Compliance works with the Information Protection organization to help ensure that all regulatory compliance requirements are met and supports the overall IT organization. This position supports both review performed by Internal Audit and our external auditors in meeting both regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards. The Advisor evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls over the activities reviewed. This position will report findings to management and recommend necessary corrective action and process improvements. The Advisor is also responsible for tracking remediation activity, obtaining periodic updates for the activity and reporting to management the status of all remediation activity. The Advisor will also support the IT Regulatory Compliance organization in analyzing and reporting internal compliance metrics to the IT organization.

Responsibilities
- Plans or assists in planning the scope of compliance activities for the external audit reviews and assists in obtaining evidence and manages the activities of the external audits
- Manages the process to monitor the IT issue remediation process through obtaining updates and various reporting of the status of the issues.
- Manages the process to obtain and prepare the internal metrics for the ITRC organization and presentation materials for both IT VPs and the CIO Scorecard.
- Support the IT Risk and Operational Risk area through interviews and managing session setup and execution.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-5 years or more of experience in auditing or IT consulting
- Public accounting experience preferred
- CISA or CIA preferred
- Understanding of software development methodology, computer networking and IT security
- MS Office skills required
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Focus on quality and service
- Experience working with cross functional departments to research and resolve issues using innovative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload
- Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information is critical
- Knowledge of audit standards, policies and procedures
- Understanding of business operations and processes helpful
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Cigna Management
- Knowledge of the PBM or healthcare industry helpful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines
