What are the responsibilities and job description for the Picker-Packer position at Cigna?
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for order filling, order packing, and shipping of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies. Uses various warehouse equipment, handheld RF units, computer system - AS400, and shipping manifest computers. Performs other warehouse functions including but not limited to: stocking packing stations with packing supplies, general housekeeping of work station, etc.
SHIFT: Monday thru Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Fills orders accurately, according to handheld RF unit and order pick ticket.
•Verifies orders before sending them to a pack station.
•Manifest cartons using carrier manifest computers and verifying the carton label to the pick ticket.
•Stack and shrink wrap packages to specific skids by carrier service level.
•Packs orders according to order pick ticket paying attention to items needing extra dunnage, frozen gel bricks, and any special instructions.
•Use warehouse equipment such as electric forklifts, handheld RF units, manifest computers, and AS400 computer system.
•General housekeeping of warehouse and work stations.
•Restocking packing stations with shipping supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, paper, air pillows, etc.) return empty plastic totes and carts to proper areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or GED required.
•Basic computer skills.
•RF unit experience helpful.
•Ability to read, write and type English.
•Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
•Ability and willingness to work required overtime with little to no notice.
