Position Overview:
The Soldering Technician supports the operations / production department by assembling, inspecting, and testing PCB assemblies with an emphasis on Thru-hole soldering.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform complex assembly operations according to established specification and instructions.
- Basic operation of Automated Testing Equipment and other testing jigs.
- Use of precise measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Monitor the safety of the work area and the functionality of assembly equipment and promptly report any problems to supervisor.
- Accurately and efficiently inspect assemblies at various stages of the assembly process using magnification aids.
- Read and understand written assembly drawings, work instructions and procedures.
- Perform hand assembly operations using assorted hand tools and heat guns.
- Excellent tactile proficiency with small components
- Meet production and quality standards for accuracy
- Commitment to Safety and following established workplace procedures.
- Other tasks assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be proficient in soldering, crimping, potting, and wire prep (cutting and stripping)
- Ability to understand assembly drawings, simple math, and tolerances
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of assembly and/or soldering experience
- IPC 610 Soldering Certification

- Capable of effectively representing Cimarron Energy in community and professional settings
- Ability and willingness to work weekends and off-shifts as needed. Ability to work under pressure and deliver quality output.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps and use ladder up to 8 hours per day, occasionally up to 12 hours per day.
- Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Vision to accurately read all related distribution documents and computer monitor screens.
Salary : $40,800 - $51,600
