Expected Starting Salary Range: 28.50/hr - 35/hr ($4.00 shift differential and $5.00 weekend differential)

The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC), located within Cincinnati Children's, is the admission and evaluation center for all psychiatric services.

PIRC is dedicated to providing high-quality evaluations and access to mental health services across the entire continuum of care. The service provides the community with reliable, professional triage and assessment by licensed independent behavioral health clinicians.

Working as a PIRC Social Worker/Clinical Counselor a at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center you will:

  • Work with admission and evaluation for children and adolescents in acute crisis at both Cincinnati Children's Burnet and Liberty Campus Emergency Department
  • Preform expert assessments and recommendations to help patients determine the next steps in treatment as well as psychiatric consultation for patients admitted to the medical center
  • Execute inquiries about inpatient care, outpatient care, community services while being a mental health link to the community including outpatient referrals


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Social Worker Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social work
  • LISW license with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board
  • 2 - 5 years' work-related experience

OR

Clinical Counselor Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Clinical Counseling
  • LPCC license with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board.
  • 2-5 years' work-related experience
