SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION:
This role supports Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, focusing on patient care delivery, registration, scheduling, and billing. It involves collaborating with clinical, revenue cycle, and operational support staff to develop, implement, and maintain software solutions aimed at enhancing care delivery and healthcare operations.
The Epic Beaker team supports 25 Performing Labs, Collection Locations, School-Based and Mobile Clinics, with 23 external interfaces, including state and federal government connections, along with over 70 Point-of-Care (POC) integrated devices and 500 Clinical Instrumentation running assays, approximately 120 of which are interfaced to the LIS (Epic Beaker). Additionally, the Genomics Team is newly formed and currently engaged in an implementation project for the Epic Genomics Module, for which this position provides leadership and team oversight.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
People Planning:
- Provide work direction to staff in alignment with departmental & organizational objectives.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Oversee the selection, development, and coaching of team members.
Team Leadership:
- Guide team members in executing technology initiatives, projects, or programs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to plan, implement, and assess services and service delivery.
Systems Management:
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain systems and technology aligned with organizational needs.
- Recommend cost-effective solutions and ensure effective communication and training for users.
Financial Management:
- Monitor budget expenditures and identify variances/problems.
- Provide relevant reports and conduct research for major purchases.
Resource Management:
- Provide leadership for defined projects and manage project budgets.
- Oversee day-to-day project operations and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Stay updated on upcoming developments within supported applications/technologies.
