Job Description
About the Gig
Hey there, fellow storyteller! Cinesthetics isn't your typical run-of-the-mill studio. We're a band of wanderers, explorers, and most importantly, narrators. Stories keep our heart racing and vibrant visuals are our love language. From household brands to the world's most electrifying musicians, we've partnered with them all. Now, we're on the hunt for a CGI Generalist - someone who can crank up our creative volume even higher.
We balance the scales of creativity and production. We're looking for a visionary who not only revels in aesthetics but lives and breathes the intersection of visual effects and live action cinema. You won’t just be another cog in the machine - your voice will echo in the halls, influencing our senior creatives and agency comrades.
Your Day-to-Day:
Proven experience in the CGI domain with a portfolio that showcases a broad range of skills, from modeling to texturing, lighting, and rendering.
A reliable team collaborator who thrives in ensemble settings, always ready to step up and lend a helping hand.
Exceptional ability to hit tight deadlines, ensuring project turnarounds are not only quick but also exceed quality standards.
Passionate about expressing individual creativity while harmonizing with a project's overall vision.
Committed to nurturing an inclusive workspace, keen on both personal and collective growth.
Excited about working on a medley of projects and collaborating with diverse content creators to bring stories to life across multiple formats.
Familiarity with a range of industry-standard CGI software and tools, always curious to learn more.
Ability to troubleshoot and find effective solutions to challenges that might arise during the creative process.
Juggle project timelines, deliverables, and resource needs like a pro.
Navigate and mitigate the daily maze of production hurdles alongside our agency operations.
Constantly rethink, refine, and relay our internal and external workflows.
Bring to the Table:
At least 4 years experience in C4D with a 3D portfolio of assets created for broadcast and film.
Working knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline
Experience with Octane and Redshift. Must be proficient at using Adobe products. (i.e., Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
Strong understanding of UV mapping, layout, and texture sets.
Understanding of multi-pass rendering, and compositing.
Ability to thrive under pressure to meet deadlines, and with minimal supervision
Experience with Houdini is a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Cool as a cucumber when the clock’s ticking.
Skillful with other industry go-to tools? Consider it a feather in your cap.
What's in It for You?
Anticipated Salary: Between $89,000 to $106,000 yearly. But hey, if you've got the goods, we're all ears on the numbers.
We rarely unpack our pelican cases when we get back to LA. Honestly, we don't even want to take them out of the car. I know that sounds lazy but it would make life a lot easier since most of our projects are on the road.
While the airplanes, tour buses and hotel rooms are all starting to look the same, working on new projects, with new people, in new places keeps us coming back for more.
In the past few years, we've shot in every state in the US except Alaska, and we're hoping to change that ASAP!
Let's make something together.
