What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager, Gaming & Esports position at Circa - IPG DXTRA?
The Overview:
Rogers & Cowan PMK seeks an experienced Account Manager to manage multiple programs and execution for various client’s gaming and esports partnerships. The position will be responsible for the overall planning/execution of the partnership elements on a regional and global level. This person will also have various day-to-day program management and client/agency integration responsibilities. Gaming and esports industry background are required. Additional background and knowledge in other facets including technology, innovation, and entertainment, such as music & film, are a tremendous plus.
The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and within a multi-agency team setting, while supporting the brand focused initiatives and event activation. This individual must be a strong client services manager who is thoroughly organized and detail-oriented. This position typically requires solid client management background, communication skills, attention to detail, experience in developing strategic recommendations, and event management/hospitality experience. Additionally, we’re looking for someone who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Fine Print:
- Support plan development and lead agency execution of activities and programming related to client’s global esports sponsorship properties including (but not limited to):
- Plan development and facilitate integration of global esports marketing initiatives with North American based client and agency teams
- Manage the development of fully-integrated marketing activation plans, strategies, budgets and deliverables
- Client presentation development support
- manage cross-channel B2C programs
- Coordinate B2B hospitality programming
- Manage program recaps and measurement reporting
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with gaming and esports properties on behalf of clients
- Lead the event marketing management and execution (Project plans, Budget management, Timelines)
- Prepare written POV’s on all relevant client sponsorship and partnership opportunities
- Monitor and research competitive activity for existing clients and produce report of findings
- Manage planning and execution of custom marketing programs
- Serve as liaison for approvals across creative/branding, PR, digital and social media, and media partner promotions
- Development and management of specific materials related to individual events, including but not limited to management of accompanying digital platforms and all activation elements
- Develop and manage relationships with internal and external partners as well as outside vendors and properties
- Remain abreast of current and emerging gaming & esports industry trends, headlines, and notable news
The Needs:
- 5-7 years agency/client service experience in partnerships and/or sponsorships – Relevant experience in gaming and/or esports industry a requirement – with Entertainment Marketing a tremendous plus
- Strong client service is a requirement. You will be managing day-to-day client contact.
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude that you share with the team, alongside priding yourself on delivering excellence in client services and high standards project delivery across the board
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple projects from different clients
- Previous experience in implementing marketing plans and events
- Experience in document writing and presentation including status reports, recaps, industry/competitive analysis
- Able and comfortable to operate within a multifaceted, global working environment across different time zones as well client’s office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of personality types
- Budget management and/or reconciliation experience
- Ability to manage relationships with key partners (e.g. properties, venues, vendors, suppliers, etc.)
- Excellent digital literacy, master of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and collaboration platforms
- Flexibility to travel and weekend/holiday work as needed
