What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Resilience Manager position at Circle?
What you’ll be responsible for:
Circle is looking for a Business Resilience Manager to include business continuity, crisis management, and incident management to collaborate with department leads and the executive team to develop and implement plans to anticipate, address, and mitigate the effects of various business interruptions as well as improve preparedness and resilience across the enterprise.
What you'll work on:
- Manage business continuity document updates for adherence to appropriate industry and risk management Governance guidelines – include completion of Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
- Understand, interpret and apply all relevant regulation and guidance to ensure Circle’s BCM Program meets industry standards and complies with relevant regulation in all jurisdictions.
- Create and facilitate practice drills and tabletop exercises to evaluate emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
- Audit and maintain business continuity plans, and support crisis response coordination with departments in the event of a threat or emergency.
- Develop and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization and provide guidance related to Business Continuity to all stakeholders.
- Assist in the development, administration and maintenance of incident management programs.
- Build mapping to align technology recovery (RTOs/RPOs) with business impact requirements.
- Facilitate BIA and risk assessments to determine potential effects to business operations and lead conversations to identify practical solutions.
- Improve readiness and resilience for natural disasters, security threats, and other disruptions in a predominately remote workforce.

What you’ll bring to Circle:
- 7 years of experience in financial services or tech sector.
- Broad knowledge of Business Continuity and Crisis Management and related disciplines.
- Proven Business Resiliency experience, preferably in a financial services/crypto/fintech organization.
- Proven ability to contribute to complex projects and teams across different business areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for detail.
- Ability to think critically, analyze, prioritize, take initiative, and problem-solve.
- Certified Business Continuity certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Business Continuity and Crisis Management tools is required. Experience with a mass notification system and a cloud based continuity risk management tool.
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.
