Circuit Florida is a new motorsports development located at 150 Raceway Drive, Auburndale, FL (Polk County). We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated to support the architectural development and construction of our multi-phased development. The master development includes 75 two-story townhome style residential units, a three-story 18,000 SF modern clubhouse, lounge, and training center, a 7,500 SF five-tenant commercial building, various other structures around the site, and a 1.7-mile asphalt racetrack.

You will collaborate closely with the project architect to transform sketches into detailed and accurate construction drawings. This is a full-time on-site position in Auburndale, Fl.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a US based architectural firm with a focus on multi-family residential and multi-story commercial. The architectural drafter will be responsible for the production drafting of various building typologies to include detailed and accurate construction documents, 3D modeling, presentation rendering, and engineering coordination. It will also include contract administration and observation during the construction phases.

Essential Functions:

• Assist design team through all phases from schematic design through contract administration.
• Produce and coordinate design development and construction documents to include bid drawings, specifications, municipal applications and paperwork, review, and documentation during construction administration.
• Develop plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, and construction details for varying building typologies.
• Assist with occupancy studies, code compliance, and material research.
• Work with Project Designer to develop interior finish and furniture plans.
• Self-audit work as a step in the QA/QC process.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
• At least an associate degree with a focus on architectural drafting.
• Two years of additional experience can be substituted for degree.
• A bachelor’s degree in architecture is beneficial but not required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a US based architectural firm with a focus on multi-family residential and multi-story commercial.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in using CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Revit).
• Proficiency in Revit required.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365
• Some experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite
• Exceptional drafting skills in multi-family residential and commercial per industry standards.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Construction experience a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Full-time (40 hours), On-site Position
• Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
• Salary Range - $50k-$75k depending on experience.
