Who You Are

The Senior Marketing Leader of Field & Channel Marketing will be accountable for maximizing the efficiency of all our direct and indirect marketing campaigns and programs – with a goal to increase awareness, accelerate pipeline and drive revenue.

  • Seasoned professional capable of building and leading Americas’ field and partner marketing teams.
  • Extensive market and partner business models understanding and knowledge.
  • You have both a technology understanding and a background in marketing business-to-business (B2B) based solutions with large focus on enterprise.
  • You are a proven creative marketing thought leader with a track record of tangible results that align closely to sales outcomes and revenue growth.
  • Your experience in successful people leadership of large, diverse, and dispersed global marketing organizations is key.
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of marketing best practice methodologies, systems and tools.
  • You are an outstanding presenter at all levels, able to communicate effectively to influence and win mindshare.
  • You develop and build customer, partner and internal relationships effectively at all levels.
  • You have deep analytical capability combined with creative thinking and the ability to use various methods for gathering/synthesizing data and formulating defensible conclusions related to business and marketing growth.
  • You have a direct, straightforward communication style, taking accountability at pace, and working as part of a winning team is key.
  • You demonstrate a growth mindset.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Americas marketing teams to be aligned to direct and indirect sales and partner teams.
  • Accountability for the creation of a marketing plan to ensure alignment of all marketing activity to each sub-regional sales leader.
  • Accountability for in region marketing budget execution and ensuring marketing budget/activities occurring on behalf of the region are achieving their ROI/outcomes for the sales team.
  • Accountability for the creation of joint marketing plans with our top reseller, system integration or service provider partners.
  • Ensure operational excellence in all demand generation activities and marketing activity – this will involve deep collaboration with all internal stakeholders to ensure activity is measurable and supports company goals.
  • Own the in region budget and execution of localized activities (e.g, events, content, digital).
  • Train and mentor the team to execute a high-touch, highly-personalized Account Based Marketing strategy with tactics beyond just events but encompassing the full stack of marketing activities.
  • Provide oversight and follow-through to ensure leads generated are qualified and flow through the inside sales organization to our sales teams.
  • Manage and assign Marketing Development Funds (MDF) to key partners and work with them to drive the best ROI possible.
  • Conduct in depth evaluation and analysis of programs to measure effectiveness and recommendations for future campaigns and programs.
  • Ensure programs deliver at minimum a 25:1 ROI and are key contributors to primary analytical metrics including MQL, and pipeline in room.
  • Work to bring channel partners, channel sales, direct sales and our cisco sales together for greater collaboration and partners to increase the impact and effectiveness of our pipeline building programs and the overall conversion rate.
  • Align and leverage Cisco’s marketing organization for scale including existing program inclusion or other approaches to gain lift or access to our core buyers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required in business, marketing or related field. Master or MBA a plus
  • Ten years minimum experience in marketing
  • Strategic and tactical expertise in marketing awareness and demand generation
  • Ability to work across cultures and different time zones
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness of the latest marketing trends
  • Ability to collaborate, lead and work under pressure in a fast-paced cross-functional organization
  • An established track record of driving ROI through marketing including MQL, SQL and leads to booking metrics.
