Cloud Security Software Engineer - Technical Lead

The Cisco Secure Org is looking for a Technical Lead to join our software development teams working on the industry leading Cloud Security offerings.
In this role, you will lead the design and development of new features, product releases and quality for cloud-based security applications that are used by millions every day to keep the world secure.
Responsibilities
You'll be part of a multi-functional team to build and improve Cisco's next-generation cloud VPN, firewall and IPS software.
You'll work in an Agile team that is responsible for gathering requirements, doing software designs, implementing features and fixing bugs
You'll focus on building high performance, scalable, reliable architectures, products and solutions
You'll work closely with the rest of the development team to ensure that the software is delivered to the highest quality through code reviews, unit and integration tests.
Qualifications
• Expert-level programming with GO, C and Python
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Expert-level experience with Linux systems and troubleshooting
• Expert-level experience in networking technologies like switching, routing, VPN, access control etc
• Experience with virtualization solutions and cloud platforms like AWS EKS, OpenStack
• Experience developing micro services in public clouds
• Experience with Continuous Integration (Jenkins, GitHub)
• Expert level experience developing and using Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, being able to discuss technical issues with relevant parties of all levels of technical expertise
• Able to work across cultures and time zones
• Able to provide solution-specific knowledge transfer, training, and documentation
• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field desired
• Seven or more years of relevant work experience desired
• Able to quickly adapt to new challenges and requirements
• Enjoys working on a team, side by side with people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
• Excited about building security services for hundreds of thousands of users
