Media Research Analyst

Cision is looking for talented Media Research Analysts to research and code relevant media information in our proprietary system for clients in various industrial sectors. We offer a challenging environment with an opportunity to gain experience in communications research. Applicants should be comfortable conducting keyword searches in online, print and broadcast media, and be able to quickly scan search results for relevant articles. Applicants should have strong organization and research skills and be able to work under deadlines. Attention to detail and punctuality are essential to this position. 

• Analyze traditional and social media data
• Write and present reports
• Maintain client relationships
• Ensure data integrity
• Review coders’ work and provide feedback
• Develop sector expertise
• Should be a self-starter requiring minimal day-to-day supervision and should collaborate well with colleagues
• Complexity of problems solved is moderate to moderately complex with guidance
• Should be well-versed in all aspects of the platform(s) required for the work

• Bachelor’s degree or 1-2 years previous experience in analysis, with a strong background in professional writing and reporting.
• Proficient in utilizing Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation purposes. 
• Preference for any PowerBI or Tableau experience
