Shop & Facility Coordinator
Citadel Drilling Ltd (“Citadel”) is currently seeking candidates to fill the role of Shop & Facility Coordinator. The SFC will be an integral member of the operations team based out of our Leduc operations center. The SFC will report to the Maintenance and Operations Superintendent.
About Citadel
Headquartered in Calgary, with an Operations Center in Leduc, Alberta and Odessa, Texas, Citadel has a fleet of technologically advanced automated AC drilling rigs that are self-moving and the fleet is put to work in Texas and New Mexico, USA.
About the Yard Coordinator position
The SFC will be responsible for supporting operations by providing quality coordination of Equipment, freight and shop facility area. The SFC will be expected to perform certain administrative functions and to monitor and maintain facility reporting. Close Liaison with Purchasing, QHSE, Purchasing, HR and Operations Depts. and work with third parties as required by the company.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for shipping and receiving all materials and rig equipment. Included, but not limited to, ensuring that all of the proper paper work and documentation for receiving and materials transfers are completed, ensuring that equipment is being received in proper condition.
- Responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Required to continually maintain a clean and organized facility, which includes equipment placement, snow removal, daily, weekly and monthly safety inspections.
- Responsible to maintain the shop facility and its’ components and equipment such as but not limited to, overhead cranes, forklift/loader and air compressors.
- Report any issues or deficiencies with company equipment or facility.
- Follow all Citadel policies and procedures, completing the required safety training and working safely is of paramount importance.
- Responsible for conducting and documenting the shop health and safety meetings, work permits as required.
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the yard loader, forklift and company vehicle.
- Coordinate/manage all annual inspections such as city fire inspection, fire extinguisher and emergency lighting with safety and purchasing.
- Assist in organizing equipment for shipment and working with operations and purchasing to coordinate transportation of equipment.
- Assist in organizing trucks and Purchase Orders for transporting equipment.
- Must be experienced driving a ¾ -ton truck pulling a trailer and do so safely and efficiently.
- On call as required.
Individual Requirements
- Candidates must conduct themselves in a friendly and professional manner at all times and have the commitment to adhere to Citadel’s Core Values.
- Previous experience and training for loader and forklift operation is preferred.
- Must operate all Citadel equipment in a safe and professional manner at all times.
- Must have the ability to work proficiently within systems to record and update equipment services records, the tracking of receivables, and material transfers within Company ERP system.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office to enable competency in all aspects of day to day operations involving word documents, spreadsheets and daily communication.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to work in a team environment in a fast paced and highly energetic workplace.
