Restorative Care CNA
The Citadel of Bourbonnais is seeking a Restorative Care CNA to join our team. The primary purpose of the Restorative Care CNA is to perform restorative nursing procedures that maximize the resident’s existing abilities, emphasize independence instead of dependence and minimize the negative effects of disability within the attitude of realistic optimism.
Restorative Care Nurse Essential Job Functions:
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs restorative care services, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
- Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department, as well as other related departments in planning restorative care.
- Maintains restorative care standards.
- Assists the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.
- Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
- Interprets restorative care policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc., as necessary.
- Provides direct nursing care as necessary and as department needs may dictate.
- Participates in programs designed for in-service education
Education and Experience Requirements:
- COVID Vaccinated
- Current CNA Certificate
- Previous experience in long-term care is preferred
- Compassionate and empathetic personality
