Function

The Website Content Writer is a key part of the Digital Experience team, reporting to the Vice President of Digital Experience. This role will be responsible for developing engaging content across CitadelBanking.com, that brings our product and services to life with a focus on sales and conversion executing search engine optimization (SEO) best practices. Creates content that moves audiences through the buy journey with expertise in communications, journalistic writing, and SEO strategy with a high degree of business insight, brand awareness, and enthusiasm for digital storytelling and innovation. Must bring high value to both users, and search engines. Includes landing pages, product and service pages, blogs, and infographics and more, while partnering with a cross functional team of stakeholders across the organization.

Job Overview

• Use strong writing and editing skills to create top-quality website content ideas with minimal guidance that will engage current and prospective members while generating digital leads and sales conversions.
• Drive SEO strategy and topic research to optimize existing website and produce new content that meet traffic, conversion, and sales goals.
• Create copy and edit content for various banking products and services, including lifestyle financial literacy, campaign landing pages, SEO optimization, technical and instructional content, personalization content optimization and online and mobile banking experience.
• Research and analyze trending topics on retail and business banking, online and mobile banking trends, then recommend ways to keep up with trends.
• Strategize with team to reduce bounce rate, improve time on page and increase traffic referrals through social media, paid digital media, email, and SEO marketing.
• Partner with digital analytics to track engagement on content and measure success.
• Ensure that content is consistent with brand and style guidelines.

Qualifications

Work Expertise

• 3 years copywriting experience
• Financial Industry experience preferred
• Excellent grammar and writing skills are required.
• Basic understanding of HTML.
• Experience with project management tools.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush preferred
• Understanding of Sitecore CMS and experience platform preferred
• Knowledge of banking technologies preferred
• Strong analytical and data-driven thinking.
• Ability to multi-task between multiple projects.
• Effectively communicate while understanding instructions, acquiring new skills, making requests, asking questions, and relaying information with ease.
• Maintain confidentiality, promote integrity, and support the corporate mission
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and outside service-related agencies and vendors

Education

• 4-year bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Journalism, or related area of expertise.
