While growing we have maintained our commitment to providing the best quality, value and service, and are looking for like-minded FLOOR MANAGERS with a minimum of 3 years’ management experience in gourmet food/retail, grocery, or similar role to join our store management team for our NYC store locations!
Summary
Our Floor Manager are responsible for overall supervision of our retail specialty store including opening/closing of store, ordering, receiving, set-up and breakdown, store maintenance, controlling cash, managing labor, managing product inventory/waste, managing and delivering exceptional guest service, and management/development of staff.
Responsibilities

Track, analyze and take action with guidance from Store Manager to improve store performance

Monitor, identify, and resolve issues on store maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Uphold standards and enforce Company policies and procedures following proper guidelines.

Oversee and monitor handling of cash, safe, registers, and POS transactions.

Focus on guest satisfaction and needs while ensuring employees provide superior service through best practices

Verify and direct each departments ordering/receiving processes.

Control of waste and returns
-
Manage daily labor and scheduling for the departments.

Maintain a working relationship with executives, peers, supervisors, suppliers and customers.

Drive results through motivation, team building and follow up of staff members.

In addition, other duties as required for business/operational needs
Qualifications

Must possess a minimum of 3 years’ management/supervisory experience in a food/grocery or retail operation

Prior experience managing a team within a multi-department operation

Proficient knowledge and understanding of food and beverage

Exceptional guest service skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Expertise in health, food safety & sanitation procedures (Dept of Health/ Dept of agriculture experience is a plus)

Coaching and staff development experience

Knowledge and ability to operate basic kitchen equipment

Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills

Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, holidays, weekends.

Must be willing to travel to different store locations to meet the demands of the business

Must be able to meet physical demands of position including: standing for extended periods of time, bending, pulling, pushing, carrying up to 50 pounds, etc.
