About the Team:
Citco has a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) Framework, which serves as the foundation of Citco’s risk culture, promoting awareness and accountability at all levels of the organisation.
This role forms part of the Group Risk Management (“GRM”) function within the Second Line and provides support primarily to the Citco Fund Services (“CFS”) Division.
Risk governance at Citco operates using a “Three Lines Model” and this role will involve working closely with various teams across the Three Lines to ensure that ERM is efficiently and effectively implemented on a consistent basis within CFS.
This role has an international remit and the successful applicant will be part of a global GRM team.
Role:
- Assists the business in the identification, evaluation, management and monitoring of applicable risks;
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Process Owners, Senior Management, GRM, Group Compliance and Group Internal Audit;
- Assists management in embedding risk management awareness and practices within the business;
- Facilitates execution of risk management policies and procedures within the First Line;
- Acts in an advisory capacity regarding the development/enhancement of relevant policies, procedures operating practices and reporting arrangements;
- Contributes to the enhancement of ERM framework, including policies, procedures and toolkits;
- Participates in review, analysis and oversight of Risk Events, Action Plans, and Risk Assessments;
- Prepares and presents accurate, comprehensive and impactful reporting on behalf of GRM at relevant governance forums, including board meetings and risk committees;
- Participates actively in relevant risk committee meetings, providing appropriate challenge; and
- Assists in the provision of risk and control awareness training and guidance to employees at all levels of the organization.
About You:
- Holder of a relevant Bachelor’s degree;
- Holder of a risk-related academic/professional qualification advantageous;
- Minimum of ten years’ overall experience in financial services, with more than five years’ experience at managerial level in a risk-related role;
- Significant knowledge and experience of the funds industry is highly desirable;
- Team player with significant experience of working effectively as part of a global team;
- Highly collaborative, innovative, and effective interpersonal and communication skills;
- Demonstrates a “Check and challenge” mentality, leveraging the risk toolkit and product knowledge to implement the desired improvements in a controlled manner;
- Ability to influence and develop relationships with senior business leaders;
- Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail, ideally with experience of data analytics tools;
- Demonstrates effective project and time management skills with proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
- Willing to undertake domestic and international travel; and
- Experience of large scale projects, including digital transformation, is a distinct advantage.
Salary Range: USD $120,000 - $170,000
