What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equity Specialist - NAM - AVP position at Citi?
Citi Global Wealth & Investments Brokerage Equity Specialist for the Americas. The role is based within the Citi Global Wealth & Investments’ Capital Markets Group and will be part of Equity Brokerage and Advisory Team for the Americas. The Equity Specialist will be responsible for supporting execution, advisory and service to Advisors and Clients of Citi Global Wealth Americas. The Equity Specialist will also work directly with internal Financial Advisors, Bankers, Investment Counselors to help them transact and provide additional support to Equity business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless execution, booking and reporting of equity brokerage transactions
- Direct client execution and back up for Direct to Desk & Syndicate clients
- Work with IC’s, Bankers and Cross Asset to deliver Equity capabilities
- Increase client participation across the entirety of equity brokerage business.
- Deliver trade ideas and investment opportunities; while providing the highest level of execution service.
- Participate in regional sales and marketing forums to promote equity brokerage capabilities.
- Remain abreast of market intelligence, investment strategy and research to deliver actionable trade ideas to Financial Advisors, Bankers, Investment Counselors and Clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial services industry required
- Preference for sales/trading execution for equities (within a wealth management organization)
- Experience with brokerage, middle-office trade settlement across primary and secondary market
- Demonstrate a strong passion for financial markets
- Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to multi-task
- Works well in a team environment and eager to support platform development
- Series 7 and 66 licenses
- Proficient in software applications- Excel, Powerpoint and Bloomberg
