Finance Reporting Lead Analyst, VP, Hybrid
The Regulatory Reporting function within Finance Risk Shared Services (FRSS) encompasses reporting activities such as report production, validation, comprehensive variance analysis and timely filing across Prudential, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Liquidity Reports and is currently working with the Finance GPO, GPSM and other organizations to transform the end-to-end Global Operating Model and all associated processes and platforms.

The U.S. Regulatory Reporting Lead Analyst will be responsible for leading the buildout and centralization of the reporting framework and developing and establishing process for data quality to coincide with production of the Qualified Financial Contracts (QFC) regulatory reports.
The function has responsibility for ensuring all related processes meet current compliance and regulatory standards, supported by documentation standards, and with effective preventive and detective controls. The position will liaise closely with the Corporate Reporting, Finance and Risk Infrastructure (FRI), Technology, and Finance stakeholders.
The selected candidate will be accountable for production and analytics and responsible for enhancing the governance framework to achieve greater standardization, consistency, and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Preparation and review of regulatory schedules
Establish process for data quality to coincide with production of the QFC regulatory reports
Lead UAT testing and production parallel testing as required
Drive/manage project and deliverables, coordinate with stakeholders and build out of the BAU reporting process framework
Build out reporting process framework, risk and control, audit readiness
Work across multiple functions (Corporate Reporting, FRI, Finance, Risk, Operations Technology)
Participate on committees and working groups with Finance, FRI, Regulators, Risk Architecture, Corporate Reporting and CSS FRSS.
Escalate issues and interface with operations units ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken when necessary
Produce metrics for Senior Management highlighting key issues and remediation status, maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures.
Perform key controls, review and facilitate MCA testing, and identify and implement opportunities for process optimization.
Maintain standard operating procedures, BlueWorks, and Record Management.
Responsible for the reconciliation between finance and risk data
Effective communication: presentations to Senior Management, issue resolution with Technology
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in Financial Services preferred
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of related work experience
Proficiency in big data analytics using python
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Regulatory Requirements, Financial Products, including system data flows
Experience in Capital Market Products (i.e. Derivatives)
Experience in Basel, and/or CCAR, and/or other Regulatory and Risk/Management reports
Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources
Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours within an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment.
Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented
Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management
Knowledge of accounting and financial/regulatory reporting
Ability to grasp and master new concepts/requirements and related product/functional knowledge

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
Masters in accounting, Finance or Economics; Certified Public Accountant or International Equivalent; Certified Financial Analyst
Previous management experience
Previous experience with Lean Methodology / Six Sigma
Previous experience with SQL and/or SAS preferred
Working knowledge of CitiRisk and other data warehouses
Previous Exposure to global processes and teamwork across various locations and cultures
