The Finance Operational Excellence team is a new team within Citi’s Finance Function. The team reports to the Head of Finance Operations and Optimization within the Finance Chief Operating Office. The Finance Operational Excellence team drives continuous improvement across Finance and establishes key performance indicators and measurements to deliver insights into the operating environment of the Finance Function.
The SVP in the Finance Operational Excellence group will report to the Director of Finance Operations and Optimization and will be responsible with assisting the lead of a small team of program managers and business analysts that execute programs in partnership with Citi's Finance leadership team. The primary focus of this role will be on operating model redesign, process simplification, digitization, and metric development and monitoring.
The successful candidate will use proven methodologies to provide hands-on leadership and support to specific Citi operating model and business process improvement projects and programs. Projects will vary in size, duration, and complexity and will have measurable business value outcomes, with senior management to Executive-level sponsorship.
In addition to participating in operating model, process improvement, and process transformation projects and programs, the selected candidate will serve as a thought and methodology leader relative to process analysis, design, and implementation approaches and methods to be leveraged across Finance.
ROLE DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with stakeholders to scope and launch operating model, process improvement, and process transformation projects, applying agile principles.
- Leverage digitalization concepts and emerging trends as it relates to process improvement and process transformation and integrate technology priorities and requirements into the development of holistic process models and solutions.
- Assist with developing innovative solutions through leveraging an agile methodology to address process pain points and value opportunities.
- Develop and industrialize standard set of metrics reflecting the Finance operating environment and target state. Develop metrics in conjunction with SMEs and stakeholders.
- Assist with assessing organization capacity and readiness for change and work with Finance leaders to establish an implementation plan for process improvement / process transformation.
- Help create culture change within Citi, reduce time to market, boost quality decrease risk, increase controls and become a more adaptive organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10-15 years of experience leading Operating Model, Process improvement and Process Transformation projects.
- Some experience within Banking and Financial Services or another regulated industry is strongly preferred. Management Consulting experience is strongly preferred.
