The Intermediate Associate IT Business Analyst is an entry-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks in support of IT Business Analysis projects and perform other duties and functions as assigned
- Resolve complex issues pertaining to business client needs and support activities related to documents requirements, system enhancements, test cases and UAT activities to help identify system issues
- Support process automation, business process redesigns, documentation of new technology and communication efforts between business units and technology groups
- Recommend solutions for business analysis problems and escalate complex issues when needed
- Work with a team to accomplish objectives and provide informal guidance to new or lower level team members
- Exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical manner
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in business analysis role
- Experience in business and information technology and understanding of related procedures and concepts
- Experience with reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite, including use of advanced functions in Excel
- Knowledge of software solutions,
- Demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail and at all levels of the organization
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven organizational and computer troubleshooting skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Prefer applicants with experience in the Cards Business
JIRA and Confluence experience a plus
