The Personal Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) Risk Reporting team is part of the Data Analytics Reporting & Technology department within Citi. The Director of the PBWM Risk Reporting team is a senior management level position responsible for managing all aspects of the department. The role and function support the reporting and analytics needs of the PBWM Chief Risk Officer (CRO). This role is expected to interact directly with the PBWM CRO and his management team. The role will lead a global team of more than 30 risk professionals and will design, coordinate and prepare executive materials, manage-level risk reports, and deliver other materials for risk monitoring and regulatory requirements.. The group also partners closely with Independent Risk Management and In-Business/Country Risk Management to design and build strategic reporting, data capabilities, and efficient operational processes. A deep understanding of consumer risk businesses covering credit cards, mortgages and other consumer credit products across all risk stripes is required for this senior role. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate and interact with senior Risk leadership. The position will be accountable for delivering department objectives related to reporting automation, budgeting, headcount planning, BCBS239 controls, strategic data sourcing, client engagement, and related consent order transformation efforts. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations. The role will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk Reporting & Analytics and will be an integral member of that leadership team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage PBWM Risk Reporting team of over 30 risk professionals (global coverage) supporting PBWM CRO and Independent Risk management
  • Design, coordinate and prepare executive materials for PBWM CRO and management team’s senior presentations to the Board, risk committees, and regulators; including any ad hoc materials.
  • Design, prepare, analyze and distribute global/regional consumer risk reports that are insightful, comprehensive, and enable Independent Risk Management to monitor risk around the globe, reviewing business results and challenging business risk strategies.
  • Partner with Independent Risk Management and In-Business/Country Risk Management to address new risk monitoring or regulatory requirements. Design and build end-to-end strategic management reporting capability in line with PBWM's Target State and regulatory expectations.
  • Enhance and streamline management reporting processes by adopting best-in-class modern intelligence tools and improving data quality in partnership with stakeholders in risk management, technology and business teams.

Qualifications:
  • 15-20 years of experience in financial services, with at least 10 years of people management experience
  • Deep understanding of consumer credit risk and private banking products
  • Deep understanding of PBWM risk management methodologies and practices, e.g., credit cards, mortgages, personal loans, student loans, and other consumer loans
  • Ability to synthesize complex data/analytics into succinct and effective presentations
  • Prior leadership in technology, processes and data preferred
  • Track record of delivering complex projects related to data, aggregation and reporting
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic, high-volume and complex environment with a practical solutions-driven approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of engagement with senior leadership teams
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make key, timely decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, able to leverage relationships and work collaboratively across an organization
Education:
  • BS or MS degrees in business, finance, economics, computer science or other analytically intensive discipline
