Essential Functions:

Construction Loan Functions:

  • Supervise the construction loan servicing department, process, and personnel.
  • Thorough understanding of the construction loan draw process including but not limited to lien waivers, date down endorsements, and construction inspections.
  • Knowledge and ability to review title insurance preliminary reports and effectively address issues that may affect collateral position for the bank.
  • Reviewing and analyzing construction budgets and construction contracts and preparing or summarizing them for the loan officers.
  • Vetting builders for their licensing, standing with the secretary of state, and experience.

Appraisal Function:

  • Provide reception/customer service duties for appraisal department.
  • Track appraisals through bank systems/software from receiving orders, engaging appraisers, processing completed reports and related functions.
  • Order and price appraisals.
  • Complete in-house desk top property evaluations.
  • Maintain a tracking system for ordered appraisals and evaluations to ensure timely completion.
  • Liaison communications between appraisers and lending staff.
  • Update approved appraiser files annually.
  • Obtain appropriate documentation for non-list appraisers or evaluators.
  • Process completed appraisals by updating inner office files, processing invoices, logging entries, and distributing copies to lending staff.
  • Assist with special projects, as requested.
  • Process appraisal reviews, as requested.
  • Basic accounting concepts and principles are needed to understand how to reconcile general ledgers.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Complete required bank and training courses within assigned time frame(s).
  • All employees are accountable for compliance with applicable laws and regulations when performing their job duties. Each employee is expected to participate in required training to become familiar with the legal and regulatory requirements affecting his or her job responsibilities.   • Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish assigned job duties
  • Additional duties as requested or assigned.

About You

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skill(s) to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have ability to prioritize and organize heavy workload(s) and demonstrate effective time management skill(s).
  • Must have the ability to work in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skill with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, ten-key, and general computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years or more of experience with banking, construction management, and/or title insurance.
  • A moderate level of banking knowledge desired.
  • Experience in appraisal, real estate and/or construction is beneficial
  • Experience as a supervisor.

Work Environment: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: May be required to lift up to 10 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
