Financial Analyst

Job Description:

Citizens Inc. is searching for a Financial Analyst to lead forecasting, planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis for the Marketing team. This role conducts financial analysis, works with management to build out sale projections, budgets, analyzes sales trends, monitors, and tracks sale campaigns results. We expect you to support Marketing management with building out dashboards and ad-hoc analysis to drive informed decisions. The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly standard management reports including but not limited to: Financial reporting, Marketing Post-Forma Analysis and Market Revenue Reports

2. Deliver critical management reporting. Examples include, but are not limited to:

· Produce marketing performance dashboards weekly and any other reporting needed for monthly business reviews.

· Produce on-demand, ad hoc reporting as needed by management.

· Provide financial analytics and profit analysis

3. Lead the Marketing planning process, monitor progress towards plan achievement, and report results to the leadership team

4. Track, monitor and analyze marketing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of advertising, marketing and communications initiatives

5. Build and maintain necessary marketing dashboards to enable all stakeholders to monitor key metrics

6. Build analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data to analyze past sales results and help forecast future results

7. Gain a comprehensive knowledge of products, competitive environment, and our market to better support initiatives and provide recommendations to management

8. Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis

9. Attend marketing staff meetings

10. Complete marketing budget and forecasts

11. Work with members of the team to model sales trends

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related degree

2. 3 years work experience in a Financial Reporting or Financial Planning role.

3. Knowledge of Finance/Accounting Reporting

4. Demonstrated ability in Excel (especially Pivot tables) Access, Adobe, and SQL database.

5. Demonstrated statistical/mathematical skills.

6. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

7. Curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems

8. Demonstrated ownership and dedication

9. Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles a plus

10. Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment

2. Degree with a major in an analytical discipline.

3. Financial Services experience.

4. Sales/Marketing reporting experience.

5. Six Sigma knowledge (Greenbelt, Blackbelt).

6. Experience with Oracle Cloud, Salesforce, Qlikview, Tableau.

Work Environment

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. The noise level in the work environment is generally low.

Ability to reach high and low; open, close and retrieve files from file cabinets as well as operate computer keyboard and appropriate office equipment. The position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit for long periods of time, lift up to 15 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
