Position Overview: As a Video Producer at Citizens Inc., you will be responsible for conceptualizing, scripting, producing, and managing the editing process for a variety of video projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Content Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to conceptualize and develop video ideas that align with our brand identity and company goals.
- Write scripts, create storyboards, and develop shot lists to ensure a cohesive and compelling narrative for each project.
- Production:
- Coordinate and conduct all aspects of video production, including casting, scheduling, and equipment selection and operation.
- Direct on-set activities, ensuring that all elements of production are executed according to the established vision and timeline.
- Manage production budgets efficiently, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Filming:
- Operate cameras, lighting equipment, and audio devices to capture high-quality footage that meets industry standards.
- Direct talent and crew members during filming to achieve the desired performance and visual style.
- Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the filming process.
- Post-Production:
- Oversee the editing process, working closely with editors to refine raw footage into polished final products.
- Make creative decisions regarding pacing, transitions, graphics, and sound design to enhance the overall impact of the videos.
- Ensure that all videos are delivered on time and meet the specified technical requirements for various platforms and formats.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough reviews of all video content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Solicit feedback from stakeholders and incorporate revisions as needed to achieve the desired outcome.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Video Producer, preferably in a similar role with a sales focused small business (less than 300 employees).
- Strong proficiency in video production techniques, including scriptwriting, cinematography, directing, and editing.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative vision and attention to detail, with a passion for storytelling and visual communication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field preferred.

- This is a full-time position based at our Austin office.
