The PIO works closely with staff, employee personnel, and the news media to present accurate information to the citizens of Citrus County.The Digital Content Coordinator position manages the County’s digital content for website/intranet, social media platforms and any other applicable/emerging digital platforms. Creates, coordinates, and manages digital content to establish and implement online presence that is consistent with the County’s brand identity. The primary schedule for this full-time position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is located at the Lecanto Government Building.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Serves as webmaster for the County’s main website. Works with county departments to translate content to county web standards.Collaborates with external vendor partner(s) to ensure the main website works optimally.Works with various departments to administer and update content on the County’s websites, intranet, and social media platforms.Utilizes analytics data and recommends front-end and back-end changes to improve the user experience, enhances search results, and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility standards.Manages information flow through the County’s intranet.Creates and reproduces content for various social media platforms. Interacts with social media users as a Voice of Citrus County. Manages the content of the County’s social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook and YouTube. Evaluates social media management tools continuously to improve efficiency.Answers social media inquiries timely and forwards information and questions to appropriate personnel/department and follows-up as necessary, ensures issues are addressed.Maximizes citizen engagement across all digital platforms.Stays current and assesses industry and social media trends, tools, new platforms, innovations, and best practices.Performs other duties as required.

Basis of Rating: Some positions may require a written and/or skills test. Applications will be carefully reviewed to assess each individuals’ qualifications. Selected persons will be interviewed to determine who will be hired for the job.
