CPD regulates planning, zoning, development and maintenance of private property in Denver. We're working hard to make Denver a great place to live, work and play! The Operations Assistant will work closely with the Operations Supervisor focused on the internal processes and elevating the employee experience. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in recruiting and onboarding processes, leading office management and administration functions, and coordinating logistics for internal and external meeting logistics and supply management. Schedule - Monday-Friday, Hybrid (2-3 days in officer per week) Key Responsibilities: Plays a key role in CPD’s recruiting process, including managing our recruiting systems (Workday) and recruiting-related data Document Management: Organizes, tracks, manages, and maintains CPD documents and materials; Makes improvements in our current document management system to make more efficient and improve ease of access for CPD staff Facility Management: Orders supplies, manages inventory, organizes workspaces, sets up desk and office technology for new employees, and keeps the workspace neat and tidy Works closely with Business Operations Administrator and Supervisor to implement and coordinate new processes, procedures, initiatives, and objectives of the department Attends a large subset of interviews for CPD staff to ensure consistency across the department (interview set to be determined by Supervisor and/or Director) In coordination with Director and Supervisor, takes a critical eye to inter-division processes and provides ideas on how to make processes more efficient Develops and maintains onboarding materials, including references guides and general training Coordinating department all staff functions, supporting public facing meetings and public hearings as needed As needed, creates standard operating procedures for office management, logistic, and onboarding/offboarding work Brings a customer service mentality to supporting internal staff Other duties as assigned About You The ideal candidate for this position will be intellectually curious, self-directed, highly analytical, possess an entrepreneurial curiosity, and have a passion for creating a thriving workplace environment. In addition, our ideal candidate will have the following: Experience with organizational process improvement and providing overall administrative support focused on providing a high level of internal customer service Demonstrated knowledge of Office Management Procedures, Office Software (specifically MS Office Suite and Teams), and applications for hybrid work management Review, develop, or modify multiple online calendars to manage workflow and room reservations Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities A creative and innovative approach to problem solving Strong attention to detail and highly organized Hardworking with a high degree of accountability Experience working with technical services and setting up basic office technology We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications: Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience performing specialized and/or technical office support work of the type and at the level of Administrative Support Assistant IV Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year experience About Everything Else Job Profile CA1002 Staff Assistant To view the full job profile including position specifications, physical demands, and probationary period, click here.
