Job Summary

This is an entry-level position within the Quality Assurance Department.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and ship products via delivery services.
• Maintain files of Certificate of Analysis and production records.
• Compile data and generate Quality Assurance reports as needed in Microsoft Suite Applications.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipping and other sample requests.
• Data entry using internal and external databases.
• Collect and file all production related paperwork.
• Monitor, collect and organize packaging product samples.
• Laboratory inventory management of quality department and lab supplies/chemicals.
• Assist microbiology and analytical / chemistry laboratory on basic functions as directed.
• Assist department in other Quality Assurance duties as needed. 
• Use of LIMS and other quality management systems.
• Assist in scheduling, preparing, and conducting sensory panels.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old
• Must be able to handle a number of assignments and responsibilities while managing interruptions and changing priorities (multi-tasking) 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
• Effective analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and effectively use the Internet
• Highly motivated, self-directed, worker that is able to work autonomously in a fast paced an often loud food production environment 
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds 
• Effective analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

Selected candidate must be willing to work any and all shifts, weekends and holidays when necessary to cover the needs of the business.
