Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems to assigned area of responsibility.

Associate's degree from accredited college or university in computer science; and
One (1) year of experience involving the operation and trouble shooting of automated information systems and associated computer applications.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.

- Principles of business letter writing and basic report preparation
- Basic methods and techniques used in maintaining information system security
- Basic methods and techniques used in trouble shooting various computer application problems
- Awareness of ITIL principles and best practices particularly related to service operations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Diagnose and resolve automated information system problems
- Monitor and report system and network activities and problem areas
- Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties
- Conduct research using on and off line resources to solve PC software and hardware conflicts and errors
