What are the responsibilities and job description for the RTMC Operator position at City of Albuquerque?
Assist with the assigned activities of the Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) to include, monitoring Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera systems across the City; monitor emergency dispatch radio system; coordinate response to regional incidents with the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), RTMC and first responders; assist with updating and removing messages on Dynamic Message Signs (DMS); operate various communications equipment and perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

High school diploma or GED; and
Thirty (30) credit hours in general studies; and
Three (3) years of experience using multi-line phone systems, which must include at least one (1) year of dispatching experience.
Experience in receiving and processing public service calls in a law enforcement or fire agency preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Holidays, evenings, weekends, irregular flexible hours and shift work may be required with possible extension of shift hours at times with short notice.
