Job Announcement:
Under direct supervision, operates light and heavy equipment and various hand tools in the maintenance and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The incumbent must be able to perform duties according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. Performs related work as required. Reports to the Crew Leader II. Reports to Utility Service Worker II or III.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by vocational training or coursework in mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing maintenance and repairs, and up to two years of experience or training in water production and distribution operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain CDL within 180 days of employment.
Salary:
Starting at $18.88/ hour.
