GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Lead and participate in the work of a crew engaged in the construction, repair, and maintenance of
Utility system. Job Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.P erforming scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on the Cities Utility
systems in all types of weather conditions.
2. Inspect equipment before and after use, perform minor maintenance activities and report
exceptional problems to supervisor.
3.P erforming and recommending methods for cost-effective repair, maintenance, and installation of
utility lines.
4.S upervising and leading assigned employees.installing and/or repairing barricades, parking
bumpers and guard rails.
5. Installing new utility service connections.
6. Lead workers at job site as directed by Supervisor; prepare daily activity logs.
7. Confer with customers regarding service problems and report feedback to Supervisor.
8.T rains or assists in training employees and/or co-workers.
9.A ssisting in the purchasing of supplies and equipment.
10.M aintaining accurate records and documenting work orders, repairs, etc.
11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Additional Information
