The Director of Development is a professional position, working directly for the City Manager. The position is responsible for the management and administration of the Development Services Department and the City of Athens Capital Improvement Program including related public works projects. This position will coordinate all development, both public and private, in the City of Athens.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
A bachelor’s degree in project management or related field with three (3) years of work experience or an associate’s degree and five (5) years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Work experience specifically relating to capital projects and development in a municipality is required. A class C driver’s license is required.
