Wastewater Treatment Plant
Maintenance Repairman
Salary Range: $22.79 - $27.36 per hour
The City of Attleboro Wastewater Treatment Plant seeks a Maintenance repairmanto repair and maintain the equipment and machinery at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and other related duties as required.
Duties includerepairing various units of machinery and equipment used in sewage disposal or treatment facilities; repairs and maintains pumps, piping, valves, motors, chlorinating equipment, filter beds; oils, grease and repack pumps and other machinery; replaces bearings, worn parts and components of specialized equipment. Operates machinery and equipment as necessary in connection with maintenance and repair and in emergency situations. Performs work-related skills to repair and maintain machinery and equipment. May assist in the marking of sewer lines and other “Dig Safe” activities. Participation in the City’s snow and ice program may be required. Performs related duties as required.
Person selected must have background in instrument repairs and a working knowledge of gauges, pumps and valves. Knowledge of vehicle repair. Welding experience helpful.
