POSITION OVERVIEW
Under general supervision, perform tasks in repair, replacement, preventative maintenance, and installation of AUS building systems. Act in a support role for other senior technicians.

3. Records labor hours, materials, and work log in database.

DRIVING REQUIREMENT
This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and the individual will be required to drive a City vehicle. Position will also be required to drive on the AOA.
This position requires a Texas Class “C” Operator’s License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin’s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months. Job Offer is contingent on having a driving record that meets the City’s Driver Record Evaluation Standards.

4. Performs service on pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, etc.
5. Repacks, changes oil/filters, lubricates, etc.
6. Operates drills, buffers, grinders, sanders, etc. Operate various power saws, i.e., radial arm, skill, etc. Operates acetylene cutting torch, welder, etc.
7. Performs basic plumbing installations/repairs i.e., install and repair faucets, unclog drains, replace valves, etc.
8. Measures using tapes, transits, levels, etc.
9. Performs semi-skilled carpentry work in the construction and repair of walls, ceilings, etc.
10. Reads profiles/blueprints.
