The City of Beaverton Public Works Department/Transportation Engineering is seeking two Engineering Trainees to assist in collecting and processing traffic data. This position is a great opportunity for students who are seeking experience in the field of Civil/Traffic Engineering.
There are two seasonal/temporary positions available. This position is open to college students working during school holidays or breaks.
These positions will be scheduled for 40 hours per week. Hours will be approximately 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday, with some flexibility by arrangement with supervisor.

Install and retrieve traffic data collectors throughout the city.
Download traffic data and create reports.
Other data collection responsibilities and field measurements.
Prepare reports and store data using Microsoft Office programs.
Update drawing Using Auto CAD and ArcMap.
Update and maintain professional binders and scanning.
Must be a Civil Engineering and /or Construction Management student at an accredited college or university.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the city’s driving standards.
Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
