This is a provisional appointment.
Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Finance, assists in the general administration of the Inspectional Services Department Budget Unit.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for logging accounts, maintaining monthly and annual ledgers, processing bills, accounts payable and refunds; entering purchase requisitions into PeopleSoft.
- Responsible for the scheduling and maintenance of the department's vehicles and office equipment, i.e., copiers, fax machines.
- Assists with mail and supplies as required.
- Performs related work as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications
- Applicants must possess two (2) years of full time, or equivalent part time, experience as a cashier, bookkeeper, bank teller, or experience in an office environment.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PeopleSoft, Hansen and Inovah is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A multi-lingual candidate is also preferred.

Boston Residency Required.
