The Operations and Maintenance Department is currently recruiting applicants to fill temporary/seasonal positions which may work up to 40 hours to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Park Maintenance Division. Opportunities are available at a variety of skills and levels from unskilled to skilled laborers.
NOTE: The eligible list created from this exam may be used to fill Maintenance V-VI positions as they become available in other departments within the City.

- Perform heavy manual labor
- Perform and assist with general cleaning of facilities
- Perform and assist with maintenance tasks
- Operate vehicles/equipment
- Perform and assist with operator-type maintenance on vehicles/equipment
- Collect and maintain records as required
- Perform and assist with any Operations and Maintenance-related duties
- Perform and assist with parks and public grounds/right-of-way turf, landscape and clean-up maintenance
- Perform and assist with tree maintenance
- Perform and assist with park facilities maintenance
- Promote harmonious relations with fellow employees, divisions, departments and with the public

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience operating small equipment
- Previous park and/or building maintenance experience
- Possess a valid Minnesota Class "A or B" Commercial driver's license
- Possess CPR, First Aid, AED certifications
- Previous maintenance work experience
- Previous cleaning/janitorial work experience
- Previous experience working with people from various cultural, socioeconomic, racial and ethnic backgrounds
- Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Laotian or Vietnamese language(s)
